Cry It Out Method
Here's a little update on our sleeping situation!!........... What the heck have I been doing to this child and us for the past 5 months!! Every time he would wake up and cry I was there within seconds. I was only making things worse! He would cry because he saw me! No other reason. So the many trips a night I was making into his room were only keeping him from a good nights sleep!!! For the first time since Brock was born we're finally getting FULL nights of sleep and it's all because of this method. THANK YOU GOD! 5 months of this and it was fixed in 3 nights! Nate and I can only laugh about it now! We feel so rested and I know he does 2! We're first time parents so were not gonna be to hard on ourselves...haha!! Live and Learn and finally SLEEP!! :)

Finger Foods
Well the time has come to start some finger foods! Anxiety has taken over for this momma! The one thing that I am absolutely petrified of is choking. I don't want him to gag, cough, or make any sound like a choking sound when he's eating. That being said...I have to take a chill pill!! lol. So far so good.. He's tried some peaches, pears, melon, small pieces of chicken, crackers, toast and he's done GREAT! So did I! I feel a little bit better. I think there's been a couple stories that just terrified me of this process. Every kid has to learn to eat! :) He loves being independent and doing it all on his own. Today I found a peach bite behind his ear..ha ha!! He's getting way to big to fast!

9 Months
Sorry for the massive delay in posts lately...we've been chasing after a nine month old who is on the move and into everything!! :) Brock's personality is defiantly starting to come out!! He's so much fun and is such a happy little guy. We were able to go on two camping trips this past month. We went camping at Long Lake over the 4th of July weekend and we went to Indiana Beach a couple weeks ago, a little warm but fun! Brock is a natural outdoors man just like his poppa!!
*He's standing with support and does great! He's starting to let go and stand without any support for a couple seconds.
* He's taking 8 oz every 5 to 6 hours.
* He's enjoying some thicker foods. Summer time means garden veggies.. He likes squash and zucchini
*He's knows Nate is his Dada and that I'm his Momma!! I love that he has that association now!!
*He has 7 teeth now. 4 on bottom and 3 on top. Uncle Nate nicknamed him Mater because he has a big gap between his two top teeth like Mater from the Movie Cars! lol! It's seriously soo stinkin cute!
*Sleeping...ohhhh Sleeping.. We've been having a struggle with the sleeping issue. He's been going to bed around 8 and waking up usually between 12 and 1 crying. So what we were doing was just bringing him into the bed with us and he would sleep until 7ish. If we didn't bring him in bed with us he would literally wake up every hour. Soooo tiring! So last night was the first night we did the cry it out method which was terrible for us, but it worked. He woke up cried for about 15 minutes, HARD, :( It was all we could do to not go in and get him, but we didn't and he eventually layed back down and fell asleep until 9!! Yes i said 9!!! A big pat on the back to us for staying strong!! Fluke, mabye, but well see what tonight holds!! :)
*He's crawling everywhere and that little stinker is fast! He knows what NO means and I swear that will be his next word! :)
